FAQ
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Any item that you purchase from us that we manufacture, can be returned for any reason within 30 days of the data of receipt.
At RC Precision products, we are all about helping you to get the most out of your hobby. We don't want you to have to second guess whether or not you have selected the upgrades that best suit your needs. You can return your part for any reason whatsoever. If you buy it, install it, and then decide "Nah, that's just not what I was looking for", simply send it back. You will then receive either a refund or a replacement part, depending on your needs.
Please also know that we take the quality of our product seriously, and will likely attempt to contact you with questions about your return. This is simply our way of trying to identify any opportunities to improve our product.
Since many of our customers choose shipping methods that have no verification, we will always assume that the start date is 1 week after we ship your item.
Glitch
Q: Isn't it true that installing an aluminum gear into an RC car or aircraft will cause radio noise and glitch because of the metal to metal contact?
A: No. We have tested our gears extensively and found absolutely no evidence of glitch whatsoever. We also have not received any communication nor have we ever had a gear returned because it was suspected to have caused any kind of glitch.
This was a major concern to us in designing an aluminum gear for an RC application. It is commonly thought that metal to metal contact produces radio waves that can interfere with the operation of your radio controlled equipment. If we had found any indication of glitch caused by an aluminum gear, we would have altered our design to compensate for it.
That said, should you purchase any of our products and find that it is producing glitch or any other problem, you can simply return the item for a refund.
RC Helicopter
Hardened Shaft
Q: You used to have a hardened shaft available for the E-Flite Blade CP helicopter. Now I can only find the high carbon steel main shaft on your website. Can I still get the hardened shaft for my Blade CP?
A: We do not offer the hardened shaft for sale to the general public at this time. We are currently redesigning our tooling so that we can make these shafts quickly enough to meet our production needs. Once our new tooling has been completed and cleared for production, we will again have hardened shafts available.
It is also worth mentioning that the hardened shaft and high carbon steel version are interchangeable. If you buy the current main gear and shaft assembly, you will be able to install the hardened shaft when it becomes available and vice versa.
Gear Noise and Poor Mesh
Q: I received the gear and shaft. When attempting to install in my BC pro it doesn't quite fit in the motors and there is a grinding. It also appears that the gear is not balanced correctly as it seems to wobble a bit. What can I do to get it sorted out?<.p>
A: This grinding noise and poor fit usually means that you need to adjust the position of the pinion gear. This is done by loosening the mounting screws for the motor, carefully adjusting the motor position to ensure the best possible mesh, then re-tightening the screws. Detailed instructions can be found in the owner's manual, which is also available in PDF format on E-Flite's website
A small amount of wobble is also normal, but should not be more than .005 inches. This is mostly due to clearance required for the interchangeable shaft, and has no negative impact on performance.
Walkera Dragonfly Upgrades
Q:Do you have any plans to make an aluminum main gear and shaft assembly for the Dragonfly helicopters? If so, when will they be available?
A:We are currently planning to make upgrade parts for seven models of Dragonfly. Optimistically speaking, the first should become available in December 2006 with the rest becoming available by mid 2007.

Q:When will I be able to buy an aluminum spur gear for my Duratrax Evader ST?
A:Aluminum Spur gears for most of the electric Duratrax Evader models will be available in before the end of November 2006.
